A Genetic Distances Statistical Generator

Contributors: Audra K. Johnson, James A. Foster, Celeste J. Brown, Larry J. Forney

StatGen uses information from a genetic distance matrix or a phylogenetic tree, both of which are generated by the HiTSA pipeline, to summarize the sequence variation within or between groups of sequences. StatGen produces a table with the mean, standard deviation, minimum, maximum and quartile values for the pair-wise genetic distances among the sequences being compared, and a jpeg file of a box plot of these values. StatGen runs on multiple operating systems using Java.

We are currently working on putting Statgen up on SourceForge.
