[edit] IBEST Network and Services
[edit] Connecting to IBEST Servers
You may connect to the IBEST servers using ssh or sftp. If you are unable to connect to any of the IBEST Computers using SSH then you may need to get your IP address unblocked. In order to do this you should email Rob Lyon or Trent Nelson the contents of this page (http://www.ibest.uidaho.edu/cgi-bin/ipaddress.sh).
[edit] Request or Change an Account
For account requests, account maintenance or to reset your password you should use the IBEST Online Network.
[edit] Request Projects or Report Bugs
To requests a new project or to report errors on the IBEST systems please use the new IBEST Support Center. The Support Center allows you to submit and track project requests, or any reported hardware and solftware problems. You may also view upcoming scheduled maintenance of the IBEST servers.
[edit] Help Using the Systems
All of the IBEST Systems use Unix based operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Solaris). This means that you will need to know at least some basic UNIX functionality. A good UNIX tutorial for the beginner can be found here.
Navigate to the Clusters page to view a list of tutorials and utilities related to running on the IBEST Beowulf Clusters. For assistance with the utilities or tutorials contact the Cluster Administrator. These will grow as we continue to write more in-house utilities and create more tutorials.
[edit] Available Applications
IBEST maintains dozens of applications on its servers. To find out what applications are installed you can consult the Applications page. For assistance with running applications, contact the Bioinformatics Coordinator, Celeste Brown
[edit] Student Opportunities
